Collecting ideas for an organisation system

I started by rereading the three books mentioned in my previous post and wrote down all the key points on paper and just collected them. I then started analysing the information, looking for the key points and any similarities where the different methods could work together.

I went through the information, making a list of the sections I wanted in my organiser and ideas about methodology. The sections followed the Getting things done principal closely, with diary, ASAP list, waiting for, projects and someday maybe. Whereas there were more Do it tomorrow ideas on the methodology including filling tomorrow’s diary with tasks arising today and incorporating a backlog. I then produced a draft layout of each section.

Now I knew what I wanted from a system it was just deciding what format it should be.
