I used to think it was awful being the youngest, and I had lots of experience as I was a younger sister and the youngest of all my cousins. It seems the biggest frustration was that I was not allowed to buy what I wanted. I wonder what I particularly wanted to buy; I do remember not being allowed to get Dirty Dancing, but I thought that was earlier in 1989. I wonder if I will remember this when my children are older and we start discussing what is age appropriate.

Are there things you remember not being allowed to do because your parents thought you were too young? Do you have similar discussions with your children?
