I started my first diary 25 years ago on 28th September 1989. I used a lined hardback notebook that I decorated with stickers and pictures I cut out of magazines. How many of these pictures do you remember? I’m amused that there are so many images connected to the film Young Einstein because I don’t think I’ve seen it, but I guess I really wanted too.
I’ve never looked back through my diaries, and so to recognise my growth over the last quarter of a century I thought it would be interesting to reread them and share my words of wisdom. So here are my words from my second entry on 30th September 1989 (you can read more of this entry in a previous post).
Oh, the luxury of staying in bed until I was bored because I had nothing else to do; something I’ve forgotten about since having children. I might have had a black and white television in my room at this age, but my main entertainment would have been books.
And if you’re curious this is what I looked like about this time. This picture was taken during the summer holidays at the Who Framed Roger Rabbit display at MGM studios.
A lot of memories in that post 🙂
Oh the Neighbours and Home & Away pictures, that takes me back…..I wouldn’t dare delve into my teen diaries, I would cringe so much!
