Seeing as we’re almost at the end of March it seems a bit late to be reviewing my progress in February. However, I don’t want to give up on these progress posts after just one month. I’ve been quiet this month here and on social media because I started a new job at the end of February which is very exciting after my role was made redundant in October last year, but I’m still getting used to the new full-time routine. I’m hoping I’ll more settled during April.
Improving my sleep
With my only resolution this year to improve my sleep I wanted to get to bed earlier in February than in January, and on average I just made it by 1 minute!
Again the time I go to bed varies significantly, ranging from 23:37 to 01:30, with an average of 00:12. You can see the point in the middle of the month when I realised I needed to be in bed before midnight almost every night if I wanted to have an average earlier than January. According to our Sense my duration of sleep varied between 4.6 and 7.2 hours, which is a smaller range than in January.
Self improvement books
I’m still reading May cause miracles* by Gabrielle Bernstein. In my January review I commented that I was finding it slow going because it was a 6 week course with a few pages to read each day. Well, I have to admit that I’ve delayed several days as well because I prioritised other activities in the evening or I just didn’t feel in the mood to do the evening reading and activity. There are several times I’ve considered giving up on the book, but I’m persevering for now.
Have you read it? Or are you reading it at the moment?
The next book I’m going to read is The Pursuit of Happiness* by Ruth Whippman which I will be reading as part of the BritMums BookClub so I’m not starting a book from the poll yet, but I’m still keeping an interested eye on the most popular books you are recommending*:
- Finding your own north star – Marth Beck
- Platform – Michael Hyatt
- Hidden messages – Elizabeth Pantley
- The road less travelled – M Scott Peck
- How to make your dreams come true – Mark Forster
- Happier at home – Gretchen Rubin
- The Secret – Rhonda Bryne
- Write it down, make it happen – Henriette Klausser
- Multiple streams of income – Allen
- Be your own fairytale – Alison Davies
- Think and grow rich – Napolean Hill
How are you doing with your resolutions? How are you tracking your progress? Are you reading any self improvement books to help you?
