Postit notes are fantastic aren’t they? You can write notes on pieces of paper and stick them places so you don’t lose them. Now imagine if you had a section of your wall where you can stick (and easily remove) not just paper but also postcards, menus and bills. Sounds great doesn’t it? Fortunately there is a product out there called Gripping Stuff!
Now you may think this sounds like a paid for review, but the most I may get out of it is dinner. I know the people who own the company and they told me recently they had added an online shop to their site so it is now possible to purchase their products direct. They are a small family business who package each sale personally so I thought it would be nice to review their products which I think are fantastic.
So what is Gripping Stuff!
Gripping Stuff! is felt with a “low tack adhesive that won’t leave marks – no pins, tape or glue required… simply press-on and peel-off over and over again”. Now you maybe starting to understand the reference to postit notes.
The products
There are several products which use Gripping Stuff! and I’ve used almost all of them at some point. I have grouped the products in to categories and provided brief descriptions, but you can find more details on the Gripping Stuff! website
Noticeboards
The noticeboards are basically pin boards without the pins. As well as not having to worry about finding pins, the key benefit is that you can stick the noticeboard any where; on walls, in cupboards and in lockers without causing any damage to the surface when you move it.
For posters
Having spent five years at university I have seen the damage done to walls when posters are removed. Gripping Stuff! for posters prevents this by using the same low tack adhesive that can easily be removed from the wall and the poster.
For cards
Memo strip
If you have postit notes stuck around your monitor, Memo strip could be your favourite product. It is narrow strips of Gripping Stuff! that will stick to the edge of a monitor so you can position photographs and business cards as well as paper.
Dry wipe products
There are several products that are dry wipe on one side and low tack adhesive. Looking through the product catalogue I’m impressed that my husband and I are using the majority of these products. We have a monthly calendar each, there is a memo board inside a kitchen cupboard and the things to do list is by the kitchen door and we use it for weekly meal planning as well as key appointments.
If these products sound exciting please visit their website; they will ship internationally and no order is too small. However, I know it is difficult to appreciate a product without trying it, so if they sound interesting, leave a comment and I will see if I can get hold of some samples to give away as prizes.
