Half way through October and I was already planning to search for Christmas presents. I’m struggling to remember whether this was a realistic activity or completely pointless so far in advance of Christmas. My first thought was Mum wouldn’t have been that organised, but then I remembered her present drawer where she always had a collection of presents for school parties, plus she was good at buying unusual gifts when she saw them. My memory of Christmas presents is squeezing and shaking them under the tree to try and work out what they were, rather than actually looking for them before they were wrapped; it was good to have surprises on Christmas Day.
This is a great reminder for me to be very crafty about hiding presents, my children could be just like me! What were you like with Christmas presents when you were young? Did you look for them? Are you different now?
