This page sets out a number of policies and disclaimers for the darktea site.
Introduction
This is a personal blog and all opinions expressed here are my own (unless I say otherwise). Of course, overtime I may change my mind and therefore be reflected in my posts, but the opinions were correct at the time I published the post (the date is always shown). As a personal blog, I may change the focus of what I write, stop writing or ask other people to write for the site; I may also shut down or sell the blog.
I do my best to only link to quality sites, but I’m not guaranteeing it because I may be conned by clever marketing or the site may change over time. Remember, whenever you read anything on the internet you need to judge the reliability of the source; I’m not a doctor or lawyer so please don’t rely on my comments if I ever write on these or similar specialist topics.
I apologise if my writing includes poor grammar or punctuation. I do my best to be accurate, but hey I am part of the generation that wasn’t taught those things at school. I also have no intention of causing offense, defaming or libelling anyone.
Copyright
The copyright of the blog belongs to me, Kate Davis. Of course I’m happy for you to reference or use a small portion of a post if you link back to the original post and reference me. To be honest, I’m probably happy for you to use more of a post, but would appreciate it if you would get in touch first. In return I always include a reference to the original source of other people’s content, if you recognise something that is not referenced please let me know so I can investigate.
Disclosure policy
I’m happy to earn money from this blog, although it is not the aim of the site; if it was I’ve been doing a poor job for the last six years! The site contains advertising and some affiliate links such as to the Amazon site; this means I’ll take a bit of the profit from the seller at no extra cost to you. At any time, the site may have any or all of the following: advertising, sponsors, sponsored posts, paid for reviews, links or competition; or something similar. But I will always give my honest opinion and state how I’ve been compensated. However, please note I have been blogging since 2007 and I can only guarantee that posts written since June 2013 will include this information (I aim to add it retrospectively to old posts but it will take some time). I am not responsible for the action of any of the advertisers or sponsors on this site.
Commentating policy
I love getting comments and happy for you to tell me I’m wrong. But I do ask you to be polite to me and other commenters. I do not take responsibility for the content of comments, but if you are rude, abusive or offensive in other ways I may delete your comment. If you have issues with a comment, please let me know.
