I attended my first blogging conference in April and really enjoyed it. It was great to meet people I’ve spoken to online and to hear tips and discuss ideas. It was fascinating how some people are very easy to recognise in person but others are nothing like you imagine; I suspect I’m in the second group because as I keep saying there are not many pictures of me. Having left my phone at home for the Easter weekend I learnt I’m completely converted to Instagram, as sharing pictures was the activity I missed the most.
I wrote fewer posts in April, but still more than my goal of 4/month, but again none of them were popular enough to make it in to my top 5 most popular posts, which are the usual contenders. I suppose I should be pleased I get so much traffic from Google to my old posts and these have certainly become my pillar posts, but it gets a bit boring to see the same ones there again. However I moved up to number 58 in the Hibs 100 chart and moved up into the top 500 in the Tots 100 chart so I’m making improvements somewhere (maybe I’m just spending more time chatting).

So a pretty good month, with all the numbers increasing. I’m really making a commitment to Google+ at the moment, so why don’t you connect with me there, or join the Discuss community and comment on the ongoing discussions or start your own. I have a long list of posts I want to write in May, and hopefully some of them will be interestering enough to get into that top five. What are your plans for May?
